Why Stats Matter
PUBG tracks dozens of performance metrics for every match you play. While it is tempting to focus solely on your kill count, a deeper understanding of your statistics reveals patterns in your gameplay that are invisible in the heat of the moment.
Platforms like PUBG Search aggregate your match data and present it in digestible formats — radar charts, per-mode breakdowns, and historical trends. But these numbers are only useful if you understand what they measure and what constitutes a "good" value for your skill level.
Kill/Death Ratio (K/D)
Your K/D ratio divides your total kills by total matches played (since you can only die once per match, deaths equal matches minus wins). A K/D of 1.0 means you average one kill per game. For reference, the global median K/D in PUBG is approximately 0.8-1.0.
A K/D above 2.0 places you in roughly the top 15% of players. Above 4.0 and you are in elite territory. However, K/D alone does not tell the full story. A player who hot-drops every game will have a lower K/D but potentially much higher mechanical skill than a player who hides until the final circle and picks up a single kill.
Average Damage per Round (ADR)
ADR is arguably the most informative single stat in PUBG. It measures the total damage you deal per match, averaged across all games. Since a full-health player has 100 HP, an ADR of 200 means you deal enough damage to eliminate two players per match on average.
ADR accounts for damage dealt to enemies you did not finish — knocks that teammates cleaned up, chip damage from range, and partial hits. This makes it a better measure of combat contribution than kills alone, especially in squad modes where assist damage matters.
Benchmarks: an ADR below 100 suggests you are avoiding fights or dying too early. 150-250 is a solid, engaged playstyle. 300+ indicates a highly aggressive and skilled player. Professional players in competitive settings regularly exceed 400 ADR.
Note: PUBG Search automatically excludes Team Deathmatch from your damage statistics, since that mode inflates ADR dramatically and does not reflect battle royale performance.
Win Rate and Top 10 Rate
Win rate measures the percentage of matches where you finish first. In solos with 100 players, a mathematically average win rate is 1%. Anything above 5% is strong; above 10% is exceptional.
Top 10 rate (finishing in the top 10) is a survival metric. A high top 10 rate with a low win rate suggests you play conservatively but struggle in final-circle combat. The inverse — low top 10 rate with disproportionately high wins — suggests you either dominate when you survive or play very aggressively and only reach the end game when you are fully kitted.
Use PUBG Search's season and overall stats tabs to compare your metrics across different modes (solo, duo, squad) and identify where your playstyle is strongest.
Using Stats to Improve
The most effective way to use your stats is to identify one metric to improve at a time. If your ADR is low, force yourself to take more fights during your next ten matches. If your win rate is low despite high kills, focus on zone positioning and rotation timing.
PUBG Search's radar charts visualize your performance across multiple dimensions simultaneously, making it easy to spot imbalances. A player with high kill stats but low survival time needs to work on picking smarter engagements. A player with high survival but low damage needs to develop combat confidence.
Review your match history regularly. Look for patterns: do you consistently die in the mid-game transition? Are your early-game deaths always in the same type of location? Data-driven self-improvement is the fastest path to climbing the leaderboards.
